As you drive into Westport from Castlebar your eyes will be drawn to the spectacular view of Clare Island and Croagh Patrick. Driving into Westport town, our location is the first building on the right corner after you cross over the bridge.
We love the historic feel of The West premises which was built in the early 1900’s. It has always housed a small hotel, inn, and public house. Back in the day, it was called The West Hotel. I have in my home a lovely Wedgewood serving plate that was used in the West Hotel many years ago. I treasure it! Just to make The Irish Soda Bread Way feel at home, it also housed a bakery, Mayock’s, in the early part of the 1900s.
